Yea think I will paint em this Spring, wanted to get em on and have a jack as backup for the ramps while I was under there:

I’ve had them on my ST for 5 yrs and they’re not in bad shape, but I haven’t been driving it in the winter.
One could also consider using hockey pucks or pinch weld adapters in the future. I've used blocks of wood in the past until someone suggested hockey pucks which you can cut/notch to clear the pinch welds.

I do have one of these:

Pinch welds were already folded, I haven’t touched them.

But I like being able to put the jack anywhere along the rail, for instance when there are ramps in the way.

Both bars shipped from Steeda were resting on my reservoir. I had to use washers to space the bar up just enough to clear it. In any case the strut tower brace didn't do anything at all as the factory brace is rigid enough. Total waste of money though. I spent $60+ FedEx to ship the last bar back.
Appreciate your shared experience, I did see it on other threads. Also saw that I should get the hood struts to double as spacers for the brace, aside from keeping the hood prop out of the way.

My experience is a positive improvement driving back to back, before and after. As always ymmv, but I do read and consider all info, so again, much appreciated.

Apparently you are not a Steeda fan :). I bought one about two months ago and have no clearance issues. You must have got an older design. I , like you , have really not felt that much difference in having the bar on verses no bar . But I figure it can't hurt the car as well. I have done several "no difference mods" like changing out the crappy 2 piece Ford lugnuts with chrome McGards and the Steeda hood strut kit. Worthless ? Probably but they make me feel better and add to function. Plus it is my money to waste.

Reference posts on jacking vehicle - I have hockey puck style jack pads I purchased for 2016 Corvette that fit in the "frame rails" to jack on. IMO works well on 2018 FFS.

I was a Steeda fan when they had a better tech transfer program with Ford in the mid 2000s like when they had S197 parts before the first S197 came out, or how their hot air intake was the OEM intake for the Shelby GT. Now they just seem to produce a lot of half baked items.

The bars I received FROM Steeda were their latest design for the Sport. They shipped me 2 brand new bars that they said were designed for the Sport (as the older bars were slightly different). In the end it was frustrating because I had to pay out of pocket to return the bars. I basically ended up paying $60 to test fit bars that rubbed on the cylinder, and on top of that the bars didn't do anything for handling/performance/steering.

I bought some Gorilla chrome lugnuts as well, even uses the same 21mm hex size, just in case I want to switch or if my stock lugnuts start rust jacking the shell. Dorman also has them as well. The Steeda hood strut kit isn't a great design and if I had to get one, I'd go with Redline as they're a much easier bolt-on design without having to touch the hood hinge bolts.

Ok I know this is a bit of the AC topic but I have a similar problem anyway, does anyone know if I can use motor oil for an air compressor? I am not a specialist and don't understand anything in technical characteristics.

Ok I know this is a bit of the AC topic but I have a similar problem anyway, does anyone know if I can use motor oil for an air compressor? It has a 2 piston Montgomery Ward pump on a Speedaire tank. When I moved my compressor to the loft it leaked a bit and I need to change the oil anyway. I have a ton of motor oil around and don't want to buy anything if I don't have to. If I do I have checked out this website here kylesgarage.com what do you guys think is the best one? Some folks have advised me against buying a synthetic one. But I am still really puzzled whether or not it is safe to use motor oil for and air compressor. Also if it is possible which I am hopeful for, do you think only certain motor oils would work? I am curious about what you all have to say.
I know for my compressor they make a specific Air Compressor oil. I bought it at Home Depot. You might be able to find it online and compare any info about it to see of its similar or the same as any of the motor oil you already have.

4 hrs later and far from perfect, but not bad for $50 and feels great:

It looks to me like you did a good job! I had a similar one, imported from some overseas place, in my old 1.5L Fusion. It took me something like 2 hours out in my driveway to stitch the thing on, but it was nice (that car didn't have a leather wrap on the steering wheel like my FFS does, from factory). When I sold the car I left it on, but the dealer immediately cut it off before selling the car (I think they always have to return everything that's non-stock back to stock, if they know about it). But yeah they are nice! Yours looks straighter than mine. Mine was just a little tiny bit off-center and that always annoyed me a little but it was such an upgrade from the bare plastic that car came with that I didn't bother to re-do it. But yours looks sharp!

Finally was able to put a tune on. Learned a quick lesson on paddle shifting and sport mode by nearly sending my pistons into orbit.

Only 1/4 tank of gas...and a tester coming in the mail. Cant wait to do the E30 tune. May change plugs this weekend.

Oh...wife drove the car with the 91 tune (I have 93 octane). I dont think I've ever seen her excited about a car before today.

Not bad for a family truckster.
