The AS 3+'s I have flat spot after 1-2 days, pretty horribly @ 65+ MPHNot all Michelins are made equal?
Every morning on my way home from work after sitting overnight in 20-30F weather, my Uniroyal's will have a little bit of vibration over 30mph that lasts for maybe a mile. Maybe Michelin uses a different compound for Uniroyals?
In temps below freezing. I'm less than a mile and I'm on the highway.
Most have longer to drive to get to those highway speeds, and by the time
they do, flat spot is gone already.
I think it is more about low sidewall height/high perf tires combo.
My $63 crap whitewalls on my 59 T-bird don't flat spot, even
after a year. But with 14" wheels, they have triple the sidewall of my fusion.
My dodge diesel also does not flat spot after sitting all winter (I only take
fusion out in salt, nothing else gets used on treated roads).
