Bought a set of TPMS-42's when I got an extra set of stock rims and summer tires 3 years ago. They were PN HC3T-1A150-BB/HC3T-1A180-AB.
Car picked up second set of sensors by only driving a couple hundred feet.
Just got 3 of these as replacements (HC3Z-1A189-A), and the car will not pick them up. These are supposed to be updated PN and compatible with
the originals. Do some factory Ford sensors need programming and some don't? Can't seem to find that original PN anymore and Ford sites claim the HC3Z is the correct replacement.
One of mine isn't working right, shows 5 psi but clearly there's air in the tire. Discount Tire wants $60 to replace it, but street price is $30. I am contemplating telling them not to fix it when I get new tires and I'll just disable TPMS for free.
