thats a ton of corrosion. I am assuming from salt, and thats why its important to wash under car in winter months.

I had exact same problem...they’re sitting in my barn waiting for me to care enough to refinish them.

How will you re-finish them? Powder Coat or Paint? Which do you think will do better?

Powder coating doesn't hold up well in those kinds of enviroments, it's tough, but not that tough. I would say a good primer with base clear over that and it will do ok, but I also have 30 + years as a body / automotive tech.

So could one of you guys get me some measurements on these? Been thinking about replicating a set maybe in aluminum...

Also anything that would improve on the toggle nut mounting method would be a massive improvement. I barely got mine on when new because there was a minor imperfection in the bolt threads and the toggle nut key spinning!
Also, I agree proper paint is the better bet. Sandblast, hit it with marine-grade primer & paint then be prepared to be disappointed next spring when six hours of work was for nothing!! Haha! Ohio - where rust never sleeps!!

Ya best to forget these. My car is washed and kept extremely clean in/out but these are just not made for any climate where winter and probally wet rainey area's are. Steeda should have stepped up on the coating seeing there location is a rust area.

I'd post those pictures on Steeda's Site and give a review. Maybe they will change the way they paint them.

Before I mounted mine I sprayed the hell out of them with anti rust coating. I also happened to spray under my car after they were installed. Theres a few spots where the jack rests on the bars that has a few flakey pieces of rust but other than that they're still covered in half inch of anti rust coating lol

I just use the pinch weld adapters (machined aluminum with delrin seats and magnets). I've been using them to jack up the SHO, Explorer, Fusion etc... with good success.

I also have hockey pucks, ahem, pinch weld blocks if needed.

This is exactly why I took them off my car as well last year. I did put them on for the summer (when I am frequently working on the car), but they're coming right back off once the weather starts changing since they're not too bad to install/remove.

Mine never saw winter and rain only a few times and they looked exactly like the OP's pictures. I had them sandblasted, anti-rust chemically treated and powder coated with the best polyester resin we have available to us. I still am hesitant to reinstall as they are god awfully heavy. I can't see the S550 crowd standing for this crap. I'm not sure why we have to.

Yes flew I 100% agree with you these are probally the worst quality part that anyone of my cars have ever seen. I dont know why Steeda dosent even want to make it right in any way or stand behind there products.

Honestly, I'd ask Steeda for a refund. Their website says "Powdercoated wrinkle black for a low key, yet durable finish, these will last a lifetime under your 2013+ Fusion." (Bolding mine). It seems pretty obvious that that's not true.

Steeda has steadily headed down hill for the past 8 +years. It’ll seemed every thing they made for a Focus ST was junk and or failed. Years before that I had their stuff on my 01 GT and thought it was well made quality stuff.

Funny, I drive by them everyday, had some parts from them on my 01 GT, even had them install 3.73 gears. Agree with everything said above 100% unfortuntely. They botched my gear swap, spent all day on it, then handed me a $1k labor bill because they "ran into a problem they'd NEVER seen before"... stock mustang at a mustang specialist... i pay for the mistakes? I waive at them evevyday.
