All '17 Fusions will be assembled in Hermosillo, Mexico. They set up a Fusion "overflow" line at Flat Rock, Michigan for the past couple of years but are converting it to build the new Continental. I think the 2.7 engines are built in Ohio.

Upcoming delivery.

I cannot wait to take delivery of mine. Although it comes as a result of the insurance company deeming my 2010 Fusion Sport a total loss, I'm now as excited to get behind the wheel of the 17. Six weeks 'til delivery.

Sadly, I have no car to post here, but I do get to drive my husbands Focus Titanium and that's a fun little car. Backup is a Super Duty PowerStroke.

When did you order yours? I ordered mine about 5 weeks ago & still don't have a build date yet.

I ordered mine June 3rd and it was built June 24th, so yours should be well along by now. The dealer should be able to give you the VIN when it is assigned (typically abut a week before it is built). You can then look up the sticker on the web (e.g., researchmaniacs). The date on the bottom line (not the far bottom) is the date the sticker was generated, typically a few days before the build date. Then go to ETIS to get more detail, including the actual build date (first item under "Primary Features"). Most likely yours is on a train already.

I called my dealer yesterday & he said no build date yet. He is a smaller dealership so maybe he has to wait for the volume dealers?
It might be that the order wasn't sent in right away. My dealer entered the order and got an order number from Ford while I sat with him. They should have the VIN a few days before the build date. I had looked for it by searching inventory on the Ford site but found that custom orders never show up there.

I got my order number right away also. Once they give me the VIN I'll feel better as that has an approximate build date. Hopefully they get the issue with the headlights figured out fast as to not hold up our orders anymore.
