Hoping someone here can give me some advice.

I've had a local shop install the Steeda lowering springs, and now I'm hearing creaking noises while turning at low speeds/parking.

The shop has the car back right now, and have redone the front end making sure that the upper mounts are lined up perfect per Steeda's hunch.

Just got the call that they've completed that, and they're telling me the creaking noises have gotten even worse...

I'm at a total loss here. It has to be something the shop is doing wrong or overlooking. I've instructed them to give it one more shot from scratch, hoping to get lucky and they'll see what they're messing up.

If not, I'm going to have to ask them to put the oems back on and pray that goes well and doesn't cause any issues.

Any advice/tips?

I had the same issue when I installed Ford Racing Springs on my 07. It turned out that the spring isolators were not installed with the new springs. I had the shop install the isolators, and the creaking was gone, and never came back.

The isolators from the stock springs are pictured below.

Didn't Dave have the same issue and actually had to either cut or hammer the spring perch walls?

I just read this from Steeda's website:

These springs fit all 2013-2017 Fusion 2.0L Ecoboost front wheel drive and AWD models.

Note:

Does not fit the 2017 Fusion Sport
We have only tested fitment on 2.0L Fusions currently. These springs may fit other Fusions but we have not completed fitment testing yet.

I'm going to look into this... I kinda hope it's not something that stupid lol

I think you're looking at the wrong springs? Steeda makes tailored ones for the 2017 Fusion Sport specifically (I can't post links yet on this forum).

I stand corrected, they do have a subcategory for the Sport. I hope they didn't send you the other springs for the 2.0L Fusion

The biggest issue people have had is properly clocking springs at install.

After multiple installs one member had to return them for a credit since the noise wouldn't go away.

I was under the impression that springs that aren't clocked in correctly would cause a lot more noise, more of the time? I'm only getting creaking while parking.

I'm hoping to hear from the shop today about the insulators/isolators. Fingers crossed they just tossed them out thinking them to be unnecessary.

TheYield have you heard from the shop yet about the creaking? I have a friend who is having a similar issue with his '17 Sport and the Steeda springs making a low speed/parking lot creaking, and its actually at a Ford dealer right now.

I can't even right now... I would seriously have so much respect for them if they would just own this, apologize and get it fixed.

I wish Dave was still reading these.

Makes you wonder if Dave views the site as a visitor or if he has an alias screen name. If so, Whats up Dave!

2nd opinion has come back: Resolution is the springs do not work on the car - back to stock on Monday.

Shop #2, a Ford specialist, put it through the ringer and could not get the front left to be silent. They tweaked it in every way imaginable and that **** front left wouldn't cooperate. The prevailing theory is that something might have changed between early and more recent manufacture date Sports.

Sad stuff. I'd advise anyone thinking about these springs to hold off - this has been a fairly expensive waste of time.

Sorry to hear that Yield
Since this is the only FuSpo forum that I frequent, has anyone had success installing these springs on other forums? I really want to do this mod in the near future but all signs are telling me no.
