Well hello hello people

It's that time of my cars life to replace the bouncy sticks and rods and such lol. First time for my Sport, so thought I'd poke around and see what you folks recommend for suspension.

In my own findings, I've seen the brand Koni come up (which Steeda also sells, so that makes sourcing it easy).
Throw some other recommendations at me though.
Not looking for race car/track performance either.

Thanks!

I'm pretty sure that all of the Sports have the adaptive suspension and there are at least four running threads already on the forum asking this question, maybe try using the search button.

I had been informed at the dealer some time ago that the base package didn't have the adaptive suspension, but obviously that could be incorrect info, so correct me if I'm wrong. And the few threads I've found focus on either OEM, or one specific brand or two and sourcing them. Was looking for more brands and personal experiences with them. Either way, thanks for your great suspension recommendation...

As usual, dealer was wrong. All Sports, 17+ had it.

Yep, the dealer is wrong. Not a surprise when it comes to the FFS. Our stock shocks & struts are hard to come by. Long lead times as some have found out recently. You may find some aftermarket that say they are direct replacements, but
buyer beware. Don't recommend non adaptive parts, unless you are able to turn off the blinking warning lights on the dash.

You either have a 400A or a 401A, both have it. Just like all MKZ's have it regardless if its a 2.0 or a 3.0.

I do have the 400A. No Sony sound system, no adaptive cruise control, park assist, etc etc. It was just the adaptive suspension that I've always been misinformed on. Thanks for clarifying though.

It's unreal the lead times at all dealers and shops. Plus the cost of OEM to. And that was my issue with any aftermarket I found, is that many would just simply say it's a fit, but no other details. Hence why I was hoping to see what others run, aside from OEM. Not that I have anything against OEM, but aftermarket can always make a big difference.

I got all 4, but the fronts were really beat up with poor factory boxing/packing. I sent them back and still have not gotten new fronts yet. Almost starting to think I should have kept them, they were probably usable.

Ford is the only source for electronic dampeners. But standard Bilstein and Koni are physicaly identical but without the electronic controls.
Noted. You have any experience using any non-electric dampening shocks? I’d assume the computer will trip without the OEM ones, but performance will be normal.

I don't but others have installed air suspension or BC coilovers and have not reported issues. There are more posts about it on the FB group Fusion Sport Enthusiasts.
