Welcome and nice job so far! Love the car when the chrome is gone myself. I blacked it all out...windows, grill, door handles etc.
Yessir! Picked him up 2 days ago. Magnetic metallic, I dunno all the option list numbers but it's got the Sony premium sound, all the driver assist and such. I came from a GTI and needed something a little more practical with 4 doors and AWD and had been eyeing these since they came out, and I can say I am thoroughly pleased with it.Welcome @Ocdrod ! Sharp ride. Looks like Magnetic? Looks good!
Also, looking at your post history, I see train engineer. I'm a conductor currently getting close(ish) to engine school. What RR?Welcome @Ocdrod ! Sharp ride. Looks like Magnetic? Looks good!
Thanks Zen! Just ordered the carbon fiber style inserts, looking forward to that. With the car being magnetic and blacked out with the sport upgrade, the blue ovals just kinda stick out a little. I was thinking goo gone was the way to go, I think my wife has a hair dryer I can use. I'm of the same mind where I will likely leave the EcoBoost badges but take the others off. Thanks again!Hey Ocdrod!
I'm finding the CPO a love/hate relationship. Love the warranty, but also hate it as I'm paranoid about voiding it too....
I got the emblems from a link I found here (oddly they are just a couple miles from my house) = 2013-2020 Ford Fusion Decals
They look great - just remember the front and rear Ford logos are slightly different sizes! - I was looking a little sideways at it at first...
I removed the emblems on a hot day, heating them further with a hairdryer, and using my fingers to wiggle them free. They all came off very easily. I also used some body panels plastic knives (bone knives) to help get them started. Then finger nail and goo-gone. I left the Ecoboost/AWD emblem.
For those that care I got the rear vinyl blackout from 'ggwraps' on Ebay. Getting the front grille blackout from him as well, although I think he's in New Orleans, so not sure how Laura affected him. Vinyl fit nice. Chrome Delete Vinyl Blackout Kit for 2017-19 Ford Fusion Rear Back Trunk Trim | eBay (this kit also include the lower rear reflectors even though it's not shown)
Just threw on some black Ford centercaps the other day too. 4 New Black Wheel Center Caps Hubcap 54mm Emblem Rim Cover for Ford Vehicles | eBay (Nice, and look OEM, but they fit VERY loosely. I'm surprised one hasn't popped out yet. So I'll be looking to replace them shortly)
Sorry for not supporting our shadow black community earlierHowdy people - just picked up my sport one week ago. A lovely CPO 25k miles shadow black stock example (400A) (was a personal lease). As my avatar indicates I recently had a little girl and needed more doors. Never thought about the Fusion, till I couldn't find an Edge Sport I liked locally. Realizing they're the same drive train, I test drove one locally, fell in love, and spent the next month hunting for what I wanted. Spent that month lurking on here as well... LOVE THE CAR.
Looking at FMICs and a tune from Unleashed..... worried about my CPO warranty naturally, so not sure when I'll pull the trigger.
Done a few visual mods since getting her:
15% tint all around.
Ford lic plate frame.
Removed dealer stickers.
De-badged the 'Fusion' and 'Sport' lettering (the Sport letters were loosing the chrome rings and looking weird) (fun fact the 'U' and 'N' in Fusion are the same,, heh)
Blacked out the back chrome and lower reflectors (vinyl).
Black Ford Emblems (front/rear)
Doing the front grille, window, and door handle chrome in vinyl in the next week or two - looks so much better.
Front Lic plate bracket is getting tossed too (gotta fill those damn holes too).
First new'ish car I've had in a while. Getting used to all the gizmos and not having to take my keys out to start it - so schfancy.
I write software for a living and interested in getting into 'forscan', maybe I can contribute to the communities knowledge.
A few pics in her current state:

Look forward to being a member, and more mods!
This is the exact way which I did it. No need to heat to much. For removing badges, the best way I know is to use a hair dryer and fishing line. Just heat it up a little and work the line back and forth and try to force it in the edge. I've heard varying opinions about how much you want to heat it because some people have made a gooey mess and had to use Goo Gone or similar to clean it up.
