Is it confirmed that Fusion Sport will use the 6F55 transmission?

Will the gear ratios and final drive be the same as in Taurus SHO?

I think we could see a shorter first gear for the sake of better power delivery since we're working with less power. Easy to get power down within that first gear when you're working with 500 ponies.

If it's the same transmission, then they can't just change the first gear. They could give it a different final drive, but that'll affect all gears.

Correct, they'll have to fine tune how it performs overall. But the first gear is a start.

But they show the exact same gearing ratios and final drive even for the 2.0 engine, so I'm not sure how accurate this is.

Looked up the ETIS info for my Sport. 6F55 Transmission, 3.16 axle ratio.
