I'm starting to think Ford could have done more to make the Fusion Sport stand out, something as simple as sportier wheels and a lip kit would go a long way.

Is what they did enough for you, or do you want more?

I think the upper grille could be a bit bigger to make it look more aggressive because that seems to be the new design theme with new models and I like that. Sute it's a bit more vanilla than others but it's what's under the hood that counts more for me.

Yeah. As I mentioned in another thread, there are so many Fusions on the road already that this Sport trim will just get lost in this herd of sheep.

Fusion Sport looks pretty good, IMO, but it just does not stand out. Then again, some companies make their vehicles stand out by making them butt ugly, so maybe Ford just did not want to mess with what works....

I'm a fan of "sleepers." It is easily recognizable from the front (grille), sides (wheels), and rear (exhaust) -- if you know what you're looking for. It passes mostly unnoticed by those who wouldn't appreciate it, anyway.

I agree with the fact that it's pretty bland but as mentioned above, some like the sleeper effect. Personally I like that I have a 'blank canvas' to work with... I have modified some 'left of center' cars before and enjoyed not looking like every other car on the road. I think some subtle tweaks could make this car stand out just enough...

It's the ultimate sleeper. You'd have no idea just tooling around. I would like a little bit lower front fascia but overall I think it's excellent.

I like how many regular Fusions I see on the streets here where I live. Feel like I could fit right in but with way more power than everyone else. For style I 'd replace the new front end with the old one, just because I liked the old grille better.

I wish they would have done a slightly more aggressive looking spoiler. I think they could have gone with a more aggressive body kit (bumpers and side skirts) and maybe give the hood a little bit of a hood scoop or at least some vents or something to make it more aggressive, and then I would be pretty well set. Still would look like a fusion, but have a more aggressive look than than the other fusions. I still want it to look like a fusion and be a sleeper to some extent, but still look like it will kick your ass just for looking at it.

I would have liked it to be 1/2" lower with the wheels kicked out a bit. Other than that, I'm fine. A lower offset will fix the wheel thing but I don't know about springs with that fancy suspension.
I'd love to see some 255s on all 4 corners, but that might be pushing it for stock rims.

I too think it is quite lacking in the "sport" styling department. As with some of the other Ford so-called sport models, it seems Ford just goes half-way and doesn't complete the purpose or live up to the badge. To me compared to other sport edition cars, I'd like to have seen better sport seats (more hugging/supportive), flat bottom steering wheel, larger breaks and painted covers, slightly wider tires, a lower stance, and some optional diffusers front/back. Needless to say I can't wait for some aftermarket parts to be developed.

A more aggressive wheel and tire setup would have done wonders. The Fusions is a big car, and to have only an 8" wide wheel with only 235mm width tires is a joke, especially on the FS. This car is begging for a 19x9" wheel with a 255 tire and a more aggressive offset. What makes matters worse is the fact its so heavy. Such a heavy car with only 235 width tires and all that torque. Yes it may have cost a mpg or so, but who cares. Did you really buy the FS for the mileage. Thats what the 1.5 and 2.0 motor are all about.

I like the stock styling of the FS, I think its fine. The more aggressive offset and wider wheel and tire setup would just accentuate the lines the car already has. Of course this is just my opinion and YMMV.
