Prices used car prices today are nuts ! I paid $19,000 in Nov. 2020 for a 2017 one owner FFS with 38500 miles and clear CarFax and got a check for additional $$ trading in my 2017 Nissan Titan and a warrenty to boot. I feel sorry for anyone buying a used car today.
And this is where I become torn.. hard to pay the same price some people paid 5 years ago on a now 5 year old car with 30k+ miles on it, but on the other hand these cars ain’t made anymore and they days off performance gas engines in a family sedan seen pretty numbered, and they hold their value because of it. Even the focus st held it value pretty well
Do keep in mind that all cars' prices are inflated right now, so no matter what you're getting stiffed. Well the Fusion Sport is the same chassis. Just has adjustable damping.I actually ended up test driving two, and was planning to buy one of another members actually but after the test drives I was really disappointed with the handling dynamics of the car. It handled to me just like my 13 se did, just with more power. I ended up test driving a cla 250 the was on the lot and handling was so much better, just that the car was slow. So after mulling around with a bunch of options I think what I’m mostly after is a b8.5 s4 or s5, with the sport differential, which puts more torque to left side wheels to help push the car through a right hand turn for example.
The 3.0 supercharged v6 is plenty reliable and loads of power can be had on the cheap. Plus I think it’s just time for me to try something out completely different from what I’m used to, the problem is finding one in the budget lol
