Has anyone watched this video yet?

I find this interesting,

Quote:

"V6 Sport, the refreshed 2017 Fusion will come in another interesting flavor, the plug-in hybrid Energi. Energi models come with a 7.6 kWh lithium-ion battery good for an electric-only range of 19 miles. After the battery is depleted, the 2.0L gasoline engine takes over."

What's your thought?

That's a great way to position themselves since now they can get people in purely for the range and other great things about the Fusion, should help in pulling in the crowd that's into the Accord, Camry, and other similar cars.
I think thats a mistake - checking the builder on Ford's website, the plug-in gets a 2.0L 4 cylinder, not the V6.
OP's quote does say "2.0L gasoline engine takes over". Not sure why the V6 was included in there. If I wanted fuel economy, I wouldn't go for a 2.0L 4 cylinder plug-in hybrid Energi.

What are the specs for this engine?

I wonder if this would be a comeback for them by bringing in more customers.

It's too plain yet sporty on a down low side.
It's no doubt a play in bringing in more people, first time buyers since its always easier to sell to the people loyal to your brand, they already have a bias towards you, just look at all the people that have been using Androids or Apple phones for a while that start having people suggest to them to try something else, there are even emotions tied to (lifestyle?) products like this.
