My center display just turned up blank/black. I pushed a few control buttons on the console and switched the car off and on a couple of times, but nothing. The display functions for the reverse camera, so it's not the screen. Any experience with this?

Perhaps next time try resetting SYNC3. I have had the screen go black when connected to Android Auto and a full restart fixed it.

You can restart the system by holding the center volume on/off button as well as holding the right button on the "seek" control simultaneously for a few seconds.

If you turn the car off and open the car door, sync should turn off after a 30 or 60 seconds (don't know how long it takes). But per @DarkArkAngel it's much easier to hold down. The combination of buttons to force a restart. I can never remember what it is when I need it but using the combination allows you to restart on the fly and not needing to power off the car and waiting/guessing when it's OK to turn the car back on. You still need to hold down the buttons for 10 seconds (don't remember how long), but it's obvious as you will see Sync3 starting up again.
