Possibly the brightness/exposure in some of these dealer photos is jacked up to provide more visibiliy of an otherwise dark interior.
Thats what I was hoping too, then I found pictures taken inside. First picture from cars.com, second from the Ford website. How can they possibly advertise seats that dark on their site and in their brochure, then completely change the color. That's closer to burlap sack than it is to dark grey.
Now in all fairness, this is my first and only issue with the car. I ordered 4 weeks ago and I still cannot wait for it to arrive. In the end, as long as the stay relatively clean I dont mind. I'm only leasing it for 3 years anyway. It's just such a drastic change. I build the Ford Edge/Flex Lincoln MKX/MKT up in Canada and I was told we were getting the same seats as the Edge Sport. They're the same actual seat, but a completely different color. The Edge seats are nearly black.
