I've got a OTC indexing pry bar that works great popping axles, the right side is easy though, just unbolt the U shaped bracket that wraps around the carrier bearing, then pull out the old shaft. Your gonna loose some fluid so have a drain pan under the PTU.
Yeah, not sure what it is, but old by the looks of the rust on everything. I'd say it's an old car that's not been taken good care of. Drive them till the wheels fall off, and they will, but don't complain.
I looked better at his pic, it's an old 2012 back Fusion.
