Reached out to Ford to ask about the exhaust being piped in through the speakers. This is the response I got saying that Active Noise Control is a standard feature.

Active noise control helps to create a tailored sound experience by reducing or canceling unwanted, low-frequency noise and enhancing specific sounds inside the cabin for a more enjoyable driving environment.
• Microphones in the vehicle interior detect and measure the amplitude and phase of noise sound waves
• This information is relayed to the active noise control module
• The module takes into account engine speed to calculate the target frequency that needs to be canceled, targeting only unwanted noise and not other noise inside the cabin such as the audio system or passenger conversations
• The module then uses this information to generate a sound wave that has the same amplitude as the noise but reverses and enhances it
• The reversed and enhanced sound wave is directed through the audio system speakers
