Hey Guys, I just got MKZ turbos and was thinking about installing them today, would i need to get retuned right away, or could i go a couple days without retuning it? Also, any other mods i need to do in order to safely run them? Tuned by Unleashed by the way. TIA

I drove my car for over a week after the turbo install without the tune updated, I do not recommend hot rodding it until tuned for it

If you're running 3.0 turbos should you amend your screen name now? 😂

they havent been installed just yet. Contemplating in doing it next weekend now haha. Location of them makes the job a lot harder when you are not experienced

This is not an easy job for the experienced wrench turner. Try not to disconnect your AC compressor although Ford has it in the shop manual. Expensive to refill YF1234 gas.
I was able to do the front turbo without removing the freon
that was the hardest one lol
my best advice on the rear turbo, get a medium length 15mm socket and a wobbly with a bunch of extensions over 2ft long, and a good magnetic light

Honestly contemplating having a shop do it to be honest. Anyone have a clue how much it would be to install them?
it calls for 8 to 10 hours labor

Mine ended up being closer to 12.

I did too but if you followed the manual it has it removed. Also, having large hands and forearms will add another level to the challenge. Damn, there is so many sharp edges too. lol.

Oooof, now that would be a pretty penny...😬
I figure tear it down Friday night after work, come back Saturday , and finish on Sunday if need be. Long as I can get it back together enough to drive it home, that's only 2 miles. Once back here, I can button anything up I missed and finish the other stuff I need to do. Thought about doing is Memorial Day weekend, but I rather relax and get out with my cameras, LOL.
Take lots of pictures so when/if I do mine i can see what I'm getting into. Good luck
