Looks like it's pretty much the same as the 2017 FS, the only two differences are:

New Color available, Blue Metallic (FT). Lightning Blue is also still available in 18.

The only change, Illuminated Glove Box has been added to the Sport model, (Titanium model too).

The wheels, interior, and 6 speed transmission remain unchanged.

And I don't know if this is common knowledge, but the Trunk Cargo Net is a free option, Option 96B, so there's no reason that you shouldn't all have one.

Thanks for the info buddy! (Desert Fusion)
I should have figured that you'd end up here, good for you. I'm still not sure if I'll get a FS or an MKZ yet, or maybe even a Continental. I have at least 6 months to figure it out. And at least I'll have a choice of two blues if it's the FS.

Also EDIT for the first post above:
The Cargo Net is a Free Standing Option, not a free option. My bad.

I have been checking area Ford dealerships new car inventories and there are a $#%@ load of unsold Fusion Sports on the lots. Since there is basically no changes to the 2018 model, this should get interesting in how the dealers are going to handle this problem!!

blue metallic....wonder what that looks like.

The only thing i settled for on mine is the color, since that dark blue option wasn't available.

Thanks for the info Desert Fusion! I'm disappointed they won't be offering a different interior color scheme choice. Definitely should have offered a darker seat option, and probably a thicker steering wheel, maybe flat bottomed with alcantara. If you're gonna give it big horsepower and torque, give it an interior worthy of that. JMHO of course, and no offense to anyone who currently owns one.
No black interior?😞 I'm so bummed...not sure but could almost be a deal breaker...I've seen black in a platinum, what gives ? Thanks for the info tho...

oh man, TWO blue options!? I don't know if I should be happy that I didn't have to pick between blues, or angry that the new blue might be even prettier than lightning. I am also very interested in seeing how it looks. "blue metallic" isn't very descriptive at all...
Wait, so the 2017 glove box doesn't have a light inside? Or am I missing something?

Everybody shouldn't overlook one of the most important missing points with the 2018 Sport. A lot of the technical issues are most likely fixed that are now fixed in the 2017 models :)

I think pictures will not compare the two colors accurately. Colors vary in different lighting and cameras. This is something I think we need to see in person, hopefully side by side.

I'm taking a guess this will be released around May-June?

Not sure what you mean released, but they should begin 2018 production in mid June.

It is hard to find the hp & torque listed for the FS. When you use Ford's website to Build and Price, it does not list anything. I did find the following listed in Specs for the 2017-
2.7L EcoBoost V6
325 hp @ 5,500 rpm
380 lb.-ft. of torque @ 3,000 rpm (93-octane)

The 2018 specs above list 325/350. They generally list the highest available numbers for an engine with a note on octane needed to achieve them. Any thoughts are why they have apparently backed it down?

Below is the same sheet for the 2017 Fusion Sport, the same 325/350 numbers were posted last year. Not sure why they chose to list 350.

Mine has a light too (I think it was built around Aug/Sep 2016). I wonder if they mean that it will match the ambient lighting?

Thanks, fusionff, for providing the 2017 sheet to clear that up. And thanks for posting the 2018 sheet.
Sorry if I'm stating the obvious, but those numbers are the official hp/torque at 87 octane. I'm thinking sense they don't even officially recommend more than 87 octane, they are putting 87 octane output numbers in official documentation, leaving 325/380 for just the marketing. I personally think the should pick one and stick with it across the board. They seem to like confusion and contradiction for some unknown reason. This is just one example.

Well don't see the 10-speed auto...wonder if they are keeping the next-gen 2.7 strictly in the F150 for 2018 as well?
I don't expect the fusion to get the 2.7 or 9-speed until a redesign in 2019/2020, possibly on a new platform. The F150 is getting a refresh this year, so it makes sense in that application, although I wish they would have been ready for our refresh.
