I know right. Headlamps are expected, but fog lights... even just being halogen I wouldn't mind at all. Actually could have been something they saved for an ST model instead. Unless this ends up being the best it gets for the Fuison.Really glad to see the Sport getting the LED fog lamps and headlamps.
Let's just hope these LED headlamps are actually functional and not just for show.Really glad to see the Sport getting the LED fog lamps and headlamps.
I think there are different designs and levels of LED. Just take Acura as an example, they have LED headlights and I have yet to hear a complaint about them. That same system is even in a high trim Accord. So making something similar to it for the Fusion can't be that hard. Acura/Honda found it fit their pricing structure, Ford should as well, all with ensuring proper functionality.Let's just hope these LED headlamps are actually functional and not just for show.
Some of the models in this latest IIHS study scored worse with LED headlamps than with halogens. Fusion already gets a 'marginal' grade with halogens...
New IIHS ratings show most headlights are lacking
Accord was the one mentioned in the article I linked to. They found Accord's LED lights worse than its halogen lights...Just take Acura as an example, they have LED headlights and I have yet to hear a complaint about them. That same system is even in a high trim Accord.
The basic halogen lights on the Honda Accord 4-door earn an acceptable rating, while an LED system with high-beam assist available on the Accord earns only a marginal.
