Ford’s new 2017 Ford Fusion Sport gives its competitors a run for their money in terms of torque and they want everyone to know it.

With a MSRP of $33,475 for 380 lb-ft of torque, their new Fusion could be the affordable performance sedan we’ve been waiting for. The exterior may not look all that different from the base Fusion and the only changes seems to be the blacked out grille and 19-inch Tarnished Dark rims but, its what’s under the exterior that counts.

The Fusion sport will come with a 2.7-liter twin-turbo V6 EcoBoost engine, paired with a six-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive system the Fusion will offer a total output of 325hp and 380 lb-ft of torque. Amazing numbers if you take into account how much torque its more premium competitors like the $98,900 2016 Porsche 911 Carrera S or the $83,500 2016 Maserati Ghibli are producing.

If someone who’s a diehard German badge fan wants something similar within a reasonable price, their options may be limited to just the Mercedes C43 AMG which goes for an MSRP of $51,725. For a little under $20k more than the Fusion Sport, you’ll be getting a car with 362 HP and 384 lb-ft of torque. At that price, you may as well get a fully loaded Fusion Sport for around $42,000.

For those who want a lot of speed and the ability to seat four adults without breaking the bank, the Ford Fusion sport may be the sedan for you.
