Ceramic Coating Experience and Discount!
I wanted to share my experience with Avalon King's Armor Shield. First, before any product info, all I can say is d*mn about their Customer Service! Top notch. Eric, the rep, was awesome.
OK, on to the process. First let me say that I have a Detail Business, so you may need to familiarize yourself with these products that I list (Product I used is in Paren):
• Wash (CG’s Mr. Pink (Foam Gun) and Citrus in 2 Bucket)
• Iron De-contaminate (Adam’s Iron Remover)
• Wash Again
• Clay Bar (3M Blue)
• Wash Again
• Compound (Optional, I didn't need it) (3M or M105)
• Polish (M205)
• Ultra/Optical Grade Polish (CG’s V38)
• Wash again
• IPA Wipe-down (Isopropyl Alcohol)
• Apply Coating
The actual application of ceramic coatings are all relatively the same and that process is painless. It's truly all prep (as everyone will tell you). About a 1 minute "set" time per panel. Siri or Alexa works great for this. When you do your last swipe, "set timer for 1 minute". Then remove it.
I've done my 2017 FS and my wife's MKC. I've tested many other products on some test panels in the shop and this one always risen to the top. The back it up for 2 years, but say with proper washing practices and maintence, it should last up to 5 years. The Fusion also has the 3M mask on my car, you can see the line on the hood. I put the coating on that also.
I ended up registering my Business with them which gives me $25 off each application for my customers. They told me I could pass this on, so if you'd like to try it, enjoy $25 off!
