Gripes, moans, groans and laughs.

So I’m about 13K in with this car so far. Still in absolute love with it and while it may not be the fastest car I’ve owned by a long shot. It’s certainly the most entertaining to drive because of how inconspicuous it is at a stop light.

I recently had the unfortunate happenstance of being placed in a 4cyl mustang for a rental and was pretty agitated at what options it had (that are useless for that turd of a vehicle) that were seemingly left out of the FS.

Track Apps- Why in the **** did we not get this and the boy racer stang’ did? So much great information that is very useful and is probably already being monitored by the car but we have no interface with in stock form.

TC quick on/off- This is particularly frustrating, having to finagle with this at a stop light and dig through the menus is a travesty.

Track Mode- I would **** myself in front of an audience to have a “Sport +” mode that automatically disabled TC/SC.

With that being said, I’m just ranting. Sorry for wasting the evening away.

The good stuff..... No one knowing that this car exists. The dumb looks I get after stop light encounters or highway run-ins with used 325i’s and WRXs makes all of the mentioned above not matter. Good Friday all.

I agree 100%, I suspect it is stuff we would have gotten if the St version was made instead of the sport

I have a buddy with a focus rs and after purchase I had a few moments of buyers remorse where I was thinking "its just a sport...". But, while I agree and I wish it had track apps and some other fun goodies, if it had been an st etc the expectations would have been so much higher. If you raced someone and won they'd say "well it's a fusion st" and the cars capabilities and powerplant would of been much more widely known. As is with the sport you kind of get the best of both worlds. Good performance and a great base to work with, and it flies under the radar enough to where when you blow the doors off someone their response is "wtf was that and what's done to it" and not "oh that's a fusion st"

under the radar is an understatement... ive had to actively bash on peoples cars to get them to even consider having a little fun.. also ive gotten better results with tc on.. dry pavement wise anyway.. wish we could handle corners better though

Sometimes normal engineering just isn't enough

I had a go at a Focus RS on the street and the Fusion Sport was clearly faster. Now I'm wondering if I should go with an Explorer ST.

* 2017 Fusion Sport, 12.7 @ 108 mph tune-only (early tune of mine, bad trans settings), full trunk w/ lunch, and dirty paper air filter
* 2014 SHO non-PP, 12.4 @ 111 mph tune-only, all day long with dirty paper air filter and worn out 30k RS-As

My buddy with the RS has a mountune kit on it he said it was rated for 400HP. I'm sure we'll race a few times at some point soon, I don't know how it'll turn out but I feel like he's gonna pull on me even with the tune. If it wasn't awd like mine I'd put my money on the fusion but him having awd.... oh and launch control. heh.

I think my exhaust note plus the tinted windows is what's drawing people to try to pick on my stealthy fusion lol. They hear the exhaust and want to see if it's all bark I think. (even though the exhaust is not that loud)

I'd say it handles better in the corners than my 03 cobra I would say the cobra was more fun to oversteer but i'd trade that in a second for the "on rails" feeling the awd gives you during cornering
